  • Inventor Wilhelm Sedlbauer establishes a mechanical workshop in Munich (1873 – 1954)

  • Focus is on medical-technical tasks, construction of operating tables, adjustable hospital beds and Finsen lamps

  • Cooperation with Graf Zeppelin

  • Sedlbauer builds altimeters, barometers, thermometers and personally tests these instruments as a balloon pilot

  • Punctually each day, a Sedlbauer switch panel controls the sequence of the famous chimes in Munich Town Hall

Development of a photo mapper that can correct maps by using distorted aerial pictures

 


1933    
Production of the first toroidal transformer for the Deutsche Reichspost and development of the corresponding toroidal winding machine

  • The Grafenau branch is established in Wittelsbacherstraße
  • Construction of transmission line transformers for low and carrier frequency as well as cable terminal racks, among others for the Deutsche Bundespost

75th anniversary: Alongside telecommunications equipment for cable termination, the range now also includes electronic articles and devices

 


1984    
Purchase of the former Klasing building and relocation of the entire manufacture, development and management from Munich to Grafenau

Grafenau becomes company headquarters with sales management remaining in Munich

 


1989
  • New construction and expansion of the Grafenau premises
  • Company goes public / becomes a public limited company

  • Relocation into the newly built factory in the industrial zone Grafenau-Reismühle
  • The company is now already involved in electromechanics, communications engineering, ISDN, custom machine building and medical engineering

Subsidiary Sedlbauer STEEP s.r.o. is founded in Brno (CZ) with partial outsourcing of series production of toroidal transformers

 


1993    
The sales office in Munic is closed. From now on all business activities are run from Grafenau.

 


 

1995    
Establishment and expansion of the national and international distribution network. Sedlbauer AG develops into a specialist in custom solutions and services for equipment, cabinet and vending machine systems

 


1997    
Sedlbauer STEEP s.r.o. relocates from Brno (CZ) to Cicenice (CZ / district of Ceske Budejovice) and changes its name to Sedlbauer s.r.o.

Development of an MIT 1000 for limiting leakage current in medical equipment
